WATER LINE INSURANCE SCAM

A number of Water Utility Authority customers have received letters from a company called “Homeserve” in which they were  asked to send payment to a PO Box in Santa Fe for supplemental insurance coverage of their in-ground water lines.  A copy of the letter is attached.

The Water Authority is in no way associated with the Homeserve company and has recommended that anyone with doubts about their level of insurance coverage contact their own insurance company before purchasing supplemental...

Albuquerque Police Department targeting home break-ins in University Heights and Surrounding Neighborhoods

The Albuquerque Police Department contacted the UHA board recently to let us know that in response to reports of home burglaries and break-ins in Southeast Albuquerque, they will be conducting operations in the University Heights and other nearby neighborhoods to specifically target these crimes.

APD RESPONDS TO VEHICLE BREAK-INS IN THE UNIVERSITY AREA

The UHA was featured in a recent story about vehicle break-ins on KOAT TV, so we wanted to provide some additional information. The UHA board takes crime issues in the neighborhood very seriously, and endeavors to work with APD as much as possible to ensure that police respond appropriately to any crime issues in the neighborhood, and keep the UHA a safe and pleasant place for all of us.
