UNM Campus Warning Siren Test Monday June 24th

The University of New Mexico is planning an exercise of the Campus Warning Siren System on Monday, June 24. These sirens are usually audible in the University Heights Neighborhood.  

At 11:02 a.m., the sirens will sound for approximately one minute. There will then be a pause for approximately one minute, followed by an "all clear" siren, again, for approximately one minute.  There are two sirens and the University will set them off sequentially, approximately 30 seconds apart.

UNM Emergency Siren Test on Monday September 12th

On Monday, Sept. 12 at 11:02 a.m., the University of New Mexico (UNM) will test its emergency notification system including the sirens.  The sirens will sound for one minute followed by a short pause, then a one-minute all clear will sound. The sirens are intended to alert members of the UNM community in the event of an emergency, however the sirens are also audible in surrounding neighborhoods, including the University Heights.
